Technique / Process

After playing a while with the concept of backlighting I discovered that by scaling up the reference image to the size and dim mentions of the drawing that in fact the printed image when placed behind the drawng brings areas of light to the front making the image a lot richer with a more 3d image

When one is place behindthe other over light the key details edited by the drawing shine through

I then added a little hue and saturation to bring forward some colour relevant to the screen shots of the film a little orange red for fire. This works nicely in certain areas Below.....

Looks better with hair shadow of the eyes etc



I then added a little texture with the background 

I feel this makes for a more acumplised 3d illustration.
