Animating Galileo...

Galileo is most famous being the father of Modern Astronomy he challenged the belief at the time that the sun orbited the Earth and that in fact this was the other way around. So when animating Galileo I am wanting to visually demonstrate this theory.

Below are some story boards to demonstrate how I might go about it.

Before I could animate my idea I put together the appropriate illustrations by drawing Galileo, the sun, planets and preparing the appropriate backgrounds in Photoshop.

Galileo, the sun and planets.

Below are the two backgrounds I will merge together.

Starry Sky.

I have put together some images to best demonstrate how my animation will move.

Starts with a night sky and the planets orbiting the sun.

The two backgrounds merge as the night sky turns to the lighter background above. The image of Galileo will come into focus in between this process along with type, planets continue to orbit.

All the elements come into focus.

After preparing all the appropriate files in photoshop I began animating in AE to produce this small clip below.
