Linking Scenes 4....

I wasn't sure where to put my title sequence but after completing my Galileo animation I decided that the sun could make up the O in top, this would begin the almost mechanical process that makes the letters.

After animating I took some screen shots to demonstrate my thought process.

Linking Scenes 3....

Looking at the separate animations of Einstein and Galileo I have figured a way of linking them within my 50 second sequence.

Einstein in full view.

Einstein's image begins to fade as he almost merges into the sun, the night sky appears around him.

Einstein disappears into the dark to reveal the sun and night sky.

The dark lifts and Galileo appears.

Linking Scenes 2...

I figure that the lightbulb not only represents Edison but an Idea if it appears over the head in a sort of eureka moment what if Edison's lightbulb appeared above Einstein's head connecting the 2 separate images together?

I have put together some rough story boards above to show what I mean...

below I have made up some photoshop layers to give a better Idea how this might look on screen as an animation. So the background goes black the light glows, the bulb scales down and rests at the top of the screen then Einstein falls into focus.

Linking scenes...

At his moment I am exploring how I can put 2 scenes together and how to fill the space in between so the animation flows. So i,m looking at 2 scenes Freud and Edison.

Freud...

to.... Edison.

Below are some story boards showing an idea I had that could bring the 2 scenes together. I thought what if the cogs turned an engine that ran power down the wires working the bulb.

So.. I drew the engine / generator.

I put this engine into the shot as I want it to appear.

The link between animations will run like this.

Next the engine appears and starts to turn.

This moves the wires that lead into the next shot.

This final shot takes Freud into Edison....

Below is a practice run to demonstrate this. This short video also demonstrates the motion of freud in part.
