Solar Eclipse...

In order to animate my Einstein  I have to preform a solar eclipse to visually demonstrate his theory of relativity.

Race Cars...

I took this race idea even further and thought it would be cool if the squares or letters were in fact little race cars. I really enjoyed putting this together because finally I got to play with image. So I drew a little race car and applied some photoshop backgrounds that resembled the track and gave it a go. One thing I learned from this experiment is that a simple animation can look better with better imagery and that AE is only as good as what you put into it.

One thing I knew already is that I love to draw and although I don't have a clue where this brief is going I do know I want to in some way animate my drawing.

Race...

The idea of a race really captured my imagination, we had previously animated the characteristics of written words i.e bounce. So I really wanted to do this with race, I also took this as an ideal chance to experiment with a little colour and image

Acceleration test...

Within the session we also played with the idea of a race looking at how a car would speed up and slow steadily.

Roller Coaster...

I decided to take all the techniques we had learned in the session and apply them to my own animation. Below is a very simple version of a roller coaster.

Editing speed+acceleration...

In the session with Mike we all made a composition based on the motion of a pendgelem. This involved moving the anchor point and rotating the shape in appropriate motion, then changing the speed and acceleration using the graph editor.

Burger...

After exploring the idea of animating via layers in photoshop, I wanted to further explore this using image. So considering the word EAT I had a go at drawing a burger, I imported this into photoshop and duplicated the layer modifying each separate layer as I went along. To make the simple animation above.

I have made this animation based on a new technique I have learned animating via photoshop layer this basically means doing all the work in photoshop and importing these layers into AE and then simply positioning keyframes over the top.

Her are some photoshop layers I used obviously there was a a lot more.
